Ahmedabad. India won the fifth T20 match by 30 runs. With this, Team India won its seventh consecutive T20 series by defeating South Africa 3-1. In the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, the Indian team, batting first, scored 231 runs for five wickets in 20 overs with the help of half-centuries from Tilak Verma and Hardik Pandya.

In reply, the South African team could score only 201 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs and lost the match. Earlier, the Indian team had won the first T20 (101 runs) and third T20 (7 wickets), while the guests won the second match of the five-match T20 series by 51 runs. At the same time, the fourth T20 match to be played in Lucknow was canceled due to dense fog.

India’s 21st win against South Africa
India has won seven T20 series and Asia Cup since becoming world champion. India is invincible in T20 since 2023. Interestingly, this is India’s 21st win against South Africa in 35 matches. The Indian team has won the maximum number of 22 T20 International matches against Australia.
Batting order scattered like cards
Dewald Brevis, who came to bat at number three, was out after scoring 31 runs in 17 balls. After this, South Africa’s batting order fell apart like a house of cards. David Miller was out after scoring 18 runs, George Linde 16, Marco Jansen after scoring 14 runs while Corbin Bosch and Lungi Ngidi remained unbeaten after scoring 17 and seven runs respectively. For India, Varun Chakraborty took four wickets while Jasprit Bumrah got two wickets. At the same time, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each.
