New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party made harsh remarks about Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Germany. The BJP on Saturday alleged that by going abroad during the winter session of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi not only defamed India but also met anti-India forces.
In the press conference held at the BJP headquarters, the party’s national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia made allegations against Rahul Gandhi. He said that the first duty of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha is to be present in the Parliament, but Rahul Gandhi left the Parliament session and went to Germany. Bhatia said, “The country’s leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi is doing this by going abroad to defame India and meeting anti-India people, which is very unfortunate.”
Gaurav Bhatia alleged that Rahul Gandhi went to Hertie School in Germany, where he met Dr. Cornelia Voll. He claimed that Dr Voll is a trustee of the Central European University (CEU), which is said to be linked to American investor and philanthropist George Soros. BJP alleges that George Soros and his associated institutions have anti-India stance.
During the press conference, BJP spokesperson, while referring to a political meme, said that Rahul Gandhi and George Soros have close relations. He alleged that whenever Parliament is in session, Rahul Gandhi goes on foreign trips and meets people who are anti-India or jealous of India’s progress.
Gaurav Bhatia raised the question under what agenda do the opposition leaders go abroad and create an atmosphere against India. He said that this is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi’s name has been allegedly linked to anti-India activities. Comparing Rahul Gandhi to ‘Mir Jafar’, he said that such activities are against the interests of the country.
The BJP spokesperson also said that George Soros has given negative statements about India many times and he has been accused of spreading unrest in India. He said that Soros is not an Indian citizen nor has he taken oath on the Indian Constitution, but Rahul Gandhi has taken oath on the Constitution, yet his behavior is extremely shameful.
Bhatia said that Rahul Gandhi cannot be described as innocent but cunning and his attitude is like standing with anti-India forces to gain power. He used serious words calling it a conspiracy against the country. Regarding the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, he said, “Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has known that she is going to lose the upcoming elections. That’s why she wants to influence the elections by doing communal politics.
The way TMC MLA Madan Mitra made anti-Hindu statements, the sentiments of Hindus have been hurt a lot. This is very unfortunate. Madan Mitra said that Lord Shri Ram is not a Hindu but a Muslim. Despite this, Mamata Banerjee neither condemned it nor expelled him from the party.
