Badminton competition: CM Dhami inaugurated the tenth inter-departmental badminton competition, employees and officers of 42 departments are participating.

Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday inaugurated the 10th inter-departmental badminton competition organized by Uttarakhand Secretariat Badminton Club at the Multipurpose Sports Hall located at Parade Ground, Dehradun. CM Dhami himself encouraged the players by playing badminton. Employees and officers of 42 departments of the state are participating in this competition.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that amidst the busyness of government work, it is very important for the employees to adopt sports activities, because along with bringing discipline in life, sports also removes stress and keeps the body healthy.

He said that staying healthy is the biggest asset of a human being and sports is the most effective medium in this direction. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the inter-departmental badminton competition will continue to progress in the future and will infuse positive energy among the employees and officers.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is emerging as an example for the country in every field. Recently, National Games were successfully organized for the first time in Uttarakhand, which has led to significant expansion of sports infrastructure and facilities in the state.

CM Dhami said that by encouraging sports in Uttarakhand, continuous efforts are being made to develop the state as a sports land, so that young talents can get a chance to progress at the national and international level.
