New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has selected the 15-member team to represent in the T20 World Cup 2026. This time some important changes are being seen in the team. Notably, the responsibility of vice-captain has now been handed over to experienced all-rounder Axar Patel, as Shubman Gill has not got a place in the team.
absence of reserve players
BCCI’s selection has given cricket fans another worry. This time no reserve player has been declared for the T20 World Cup 2026. In the previous edition, T20 World Cup 2024, the list of reserve players included Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khalil Ahmed and Avesh Khan, but this time it has not happened.

He further informed that the same 15-member team has also been selected for the five-match T20 series against New Zealand in January. It is clear that BCCI has full faith in this team and is ready to face every situation.
