Law and order has broken down… After the death of Usman Hadi, situation is out of control in Bangladesh, violence at many places.

Dhaka. Bangladesh is in the grip of violence and anarchy since Thursday night. As soon as the news of the death of fundamentalist and anti-India leader Sharif Usman Hadi during treatment in Singapore came to light, violent protests started in many parts of the country.

Incidents of damage to media offices, cultural centers and places associated with Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman have been reported in many cities including the capital Dhaka. Meanwhile, the news of the murder of a Hindu man on alleged blasphemy charges has made the situation more tense, which also seems to be deepening communal anxiety. Analysts believe that if the situation is not controlled soon, this instability can have a deep impact on the electoral process and the democratic environment.

Sharif Osman Hadi was attacked in broad daylight in Dhaka last week. He was shot by masked assailants riding a bike, after which his condition became critical. After undergoing treatment in the hospital for several days, he was taken to Singapore by air ambulance under the supervision of the interim administration, where he died during treatment. As soon as his death was confirmed, anger spread among supporters and various groups, which soon turned into violent demonstrations.

According to the investigating agencies, there are indications of a well-planned conspiracy behind this attack. It is being told that a day before the attack, the main accused had told his close people that such an incident would happen which would shake the entire country. These statements are being linked to pre-planning in the investigation. Police say that preparations were made at many levels for this attack. Investigation has also revealed that the main suspect was earlier associated with the student wing of the ruling party.

Based on information received from family members and acquaintances during interrogation, the agencies claim that more than 20 people were involved in the attack in different roles. A complete plan was made for funding, arranging weapons, carrying out the attack and later taking the accused to safe havens. A former local public representative is being said to be the main planner of this conspiracy.

In joint action, security agencies have so far arrested many accused. It is said that weapons, bullets and documents related to huge amount of money were recovered during the raid. Investigation also revealed that the vehicle used in the attack had a fake number plate, which an attempt was made to change. However, the main accused and the shooter are still absconding. There is speculation about his leaving the country, but there has been no official confirmation on this. The interim government has appealed for cooperation from neighboring countries. The violence that followed Hadi’s death has plunged Bangladesh into a serious political crisis ahead of general elections scheduled for February 2026. There is an atmosphere of insecurity on the roads and normal life is being affected.
