Indian Army Lieutenant Colonel arrested in bribery case…

Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Lieutenant Colonel Deepak Kumar Sharma and a private person Vinod Kumar in a major bribery case. The case was registered on 19 December 2025.

Let us tell you that according to CBI, Lieutenant Colonel Deepak Kumar Sharma, Deputy Planning Officer (International Cooperation and Export), Department of Defense Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, faces serious charges of criminal conspiracy and bribery. It is alleged that a bribe of ₹3 lakh was given on December 18, 2025 at the behest of a Dubai-based company.

, From Delhi residence: ₹3 lakh (bribe amount) + ₹2.23 crore cash

, From residence in Sriganganagar (Rajasthan): ₹10 lakh cash

, Other objectionable documents and materials also seized

Let us tell you that the raids by the CBI team continued at many places including Sriganganagar, Bengaluru, Jammu, while the search is still going on in the office located in New Delhi.
