Maharashtra local body election results will come today, clash between Mahayuti and MVA

The results of the voting held on Saturday (20 December) for local body elections in Maharashtra are coming today. Counting of votes will start from 10 am. This election is being considered as a litmus test for Mahayuti due to the BMC elections to be held in Maharashtra next month. Let us tell you that voting was held for 23 city councils and nagar panchayats in Maharashtra on 20 December. Along with this, votes were also cast yesterday for 143 member posts in various Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats. The counting of votes will take place today.

BMC elections will be held next month

Let us tell you that in Maharashtra, voting was held on Saturday for the posts of President and Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat members. Now everyone is waiting for the results of these elections. Because BMC elections are to be held in mid-January. BMC elections are considered very important for the ruling party. Due to BMC elections, the results of local body elections are being considered as a litmus test for parties like BJP, Shiv Sena and MNS.

How much voting took place in the local body elections of Maharashtra?

Let us tell you that voting for the local body elections in Maharashtra ended at 5.30 pm on Saturday evening. In this election, votes were cast for 143 vacant posts along with posts of a total of 23 Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the state. According to the State Election Commission, voting started at 7.30 am. Till noon, 47.04 percent voters cast their votes.

A total of 49.47 percent voting took place in Sinnar, Ojhar and Chandvad of Nashik. Where an incident of rigging also came to light. According to the information, in Ward No. 2 of Sinnar, a young man disguised himself as his brother and went to vote using a fake Aadhaar card. But the young man was taken into custody by the police at the polling station.

BJP and Shinde group Shiv Sena fought elections separately

Let us tell you that elections were held unopposed in Dondaicha Municipal Council and Angar Nagar Panchayat of Maharashtra. Whereas there was no contest in the election of Jammer city president also. Due to which the candidate was elected unopposed. In the local body elections, the ruling coalition’s allies, BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP contested the elections separately and fielded their candidates against each other. Whereas there was a fierce fight between the BJP led Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
