The issue of CM Nitish Kumar pulling the hijab of female doctor Dr. Nusrat Praveen during the Appointment Letter Distribution Ceremony of AYUSH doctors in Bihar has become a topic of discussion in the country. After this incident, different types of statements are coming from leaders all over the country. The opposition has expressed strong protest, calling this incident an attack on the Constitution and the dignity of women. At the same time, it is being told that after the incident, Dr. Nusrat was very hurt and left Bihar and went to Kolkata. Initially there were reports that she would not join the Bihar government job, however later the college principal claimed that she could join duty on December 20.

Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari has announced on social media that Dr. Nusrat Praveen is being given an open offer of government job in Jharkhand. In this offer, he has been assured of ₹ 300000 monthly salary, desired posting, government flat, complete security and respectable work environment.

Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari wrote in his post that ‘This decision has been taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, which gives a clear message that there will be no compromise with the honor of daughters and doctors in Jharkhand. He termed it as a ‘victory of honour’ where there was an insult. There Jharkhand has set an example of humanity.
He wrote that this offer is not only an honorable choice for Dr Nusrat, but also a strong political statement on women’s dignity, religious freedom and professional security. This step of Jharkhand Government is being appreciated across the country. This is being considered as a positive initiative towards protecting the honor of women. At present, there has been no official response from Dr. Nusrat on this offer, but this incident is giving a new direction to the political debate.
