FPI sold equity again: Withdrawal of more than Rs 23,000 crore last week, pressure on the market increased

Mumbai. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have made a net withdrawal of Rs 23,377 crore from the Indian capital market last week. According to CDSL data, FPIs have sold equity worth Rs 14,185 crore. Apart from this, they have also been net sellers in debt. At the same time, he bought in mutual funds and hybrid instruments. He withdrew a total of Rs 9,682 crore from debt. He made a net investment of Rs 77 crore and Rs 420 crore in mutual funds. After a gap of two months, FPIs are moving towards net selling in December.

This means that they have withdrawn more capital than they have invested. Earlier in November, he had made a net investment of Rs 4,114 crore and in October, he had made a net investment of Rs 35,246 crore. FPIs have made a total net withdrawal of Rs 68,628 crore in this calendar year. During this period he has withdrawn Rs 1,51,677 crore from equity. At the same time, his investments in debt, mutual funds and hybrid instruments have been positive.
