Bangladesh Lynching Case: Seven accused involved in the murder of Hindu youth arrested, Yunus government, said – communal violence will not be tolerated.
New Delhi. Major action has been taken in the case of lynching of youth Dipu Chandra Das (27), a follower of Hindu religion, in Waluka area of Mymensingh District of Bangladesh. Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Mohammad Yunus said that the Rapid Action Battalion has arrested seven accused involved in this heinous incident. Interrogation of all of them is going on and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.

While sharing the information on social media, Mohammad Yunus said that the government is fully committed to maintaining law and order and bringing the culprits to justice. He made it clear that any kind of communal violence will not be tolerated.

Government’s strict message
Mohammad Yunus said that this incident is not only a crime against humanity but also an attempt to harm social harmony. He assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits under the law and justice will be provided to the victim’s family.
Yunus government condemned mob lynching of Hindu youth
It is noteworthy that the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus had said in a statement yesterday that there is no place for such violence in the new Bangladesh. The statement further said that those guilty of this heinous crime will not be spared. A Hindu man named Dipu Chandra Das was beaten to death in Mymensingh city on Thursday for alleged blasphemy, Bangla Tribune news portal reported. After killing the mob, he set his body on fire.

The statement issued by the media team of the Chief Advisor said – We strongly and unequivocally condemn all acts of violence, intimidation, arson and destruction of property. The statement said that at this critical time, we call on every citizen to honor Hadi by rejecting and opposing violence, incitement and hatred.
