Seven people trapped in cyber slavery in Myanmar were rescued, smugglers trapped them in such a trap

Maharashtra Police has rescued three cyber slaves from KK Park area of ​​Myanmar by conducting an operation in coordination with Myanmar Army and Indian Embassy. These people are residents of India and were forced to commit cyber crimes after falling into the clutches of smugglers.

Maharashtra Police has succeeded in rescuing seven cyber slaves trapped in Myanmar by conducting an operation. These people were held hostage and were being subjected to international financial fraud. Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar Crime Branch Police conducted this operation and brought the people rescued from cyber slavery safely to India. Officials said that the people kept as cyber slaves were kept in KK Park area of ​​Myanmar, which is infamous for cyber crime.

Revealed after complaint

Assistant Police Commissioner Madan Ballal said, Syed Irtis Fazal Abbas Hussain and Ammar Aslam Lakdawala, residents of Mira Road area, told in a complaint to the police that people named Asif Khan and Adnan Shaikh lured them for jobs abroad. However, he was sent to Myanmar on the pretext of a job in Bangkok. The victims were handed over to three cyber criminals in Myanmar, where they were engaged in financial fraud through a company called UU8. If they refused, they would be beaten. When he talked about coming back to India, he was asked for Rs 6 lakh each.

Police launched operation with Embassy and Myanmar Army

The complainants said that they were released when their family members paid Rs 6 lakh. After receiving the complaint, the police started investigation and found out how many youth of Mira Bhayandar, Vasai and Virar are trapped in the clutches of this fraud. After this, a joint operation was conducted with the help of the Indian Embassy in Myanmar, Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Bureau and Myanmar Army and 7 people were rescued from there.

Senior Inspector Sushil Kumar Shinde said that investigation revealed that many youths of Mira Bhayandar and Vasai-Virar were trapped in this web of cyber slavery. Shinde said that using data provided by the police, the Indian government this week identified and repatriated seven victims, four of whom are residents of Mira Bhayandar Vasai and Virar police jurisdictions. The rest are residents of Surat and Visakhapatnam. Police have registered a case under sections like human trafficking and kidnapping for ransom.
