First of all, know that many changes have been made in the squad of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2026, however, the captaincy of the team has been handed over to Suryakumar Yadav, who looked in great form in the year 2025 and could score only 218 runs in 19 innings of 21 matches at an average of 13.62.

Perhaps you cannot believe that before the T20 World Cup, the vice captain of the Indian team has suddenly changed once again. Shubman Gill, who was injured during the T20 series against South Africa, is not in the World Cup squad and now the responsibility of vice captaincy has been handed over to experienced all-rounder Akshar Patel.

Apart from this, wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma is also not present in the Indian T20 team and his replacement Ishan Kishan has been selected. Recently, Jharkhand has won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy under the captaincy of Ishan. Apart from all this, explosive batsman Rinku Singh has once again returned to the T20 team.
