Bihar: Rugby Sevens Championship-2025 planned, teams from 12 countries will participate Gujarati
New Delhi: Bihar has emerged on a historic stage in the field of sports. Under-20 Asian Rugby Sevens Championship-2025 is going to be organized for the first time in Rajgir on 9 and 10 August. In this regard, Rugby India President Rahul Boze issued a statement on Sunday saying that this program will give a new identity to rugby and Bihar will establish a new place on the sports map.
Teams from 12 countries will participate in the Under-20 Asian Rugby Sevens Championship-2025. The country’s famous film actor and Rugby India President Rahul Boze has given an encouraging response to this grand program. Praising Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said, we are very happy that the edition of Under-20 Asian Rugby Sevens Championship is being organized in Bihar. This program is a proof of increasing awareness towards sports and improvement in infrastructure facilities in the state.
Rahul Boze praised the development taking place in the sports sector in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said that the stadium built in Rajgir is as per international standards, where all the necessary facilities are available for the players. The infrastructure developed by Nitish government for all sports including rugby is praiseworthy. He also praised the role of Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA). He said that the contribution of BSSA will be very important in making this event successful.
Rahul Boze expressed hope that this championship will not only contribute to the development of rugby but will also take the sports culture in the state to new heights. He urged the youth of the state to take this event as a festival and strengthen the spirit of sports. He also said that such sports events in Bihar are giving a new identity to the state.
