BJP’s victory in more than 600 local bodies of Kerala is proof of the strength of democracy: Rajeev Chandrashekhar.
Kerala BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has said that history is being made in Thiruvananthapuram, where BJP councilors have taken oath in nearly 600 local bodies of the state. Making a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Rajiv Chandrashekhar wrote that this victory is a proof of the power of the people and the strength of democracy.
Kerala BJP State President said that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tried everything possible to weaken the BJP, but all efforts proved unsuccessful in front of the public will. He alleged that fraudulent delimitation was allegedly done to break up BJP wards. Along with this, the strategy of dividing BJP votes by fielding Congress candidates was also adopted.
Rajiv Chandrashekhar said through ‘X’ post that a similar strategy was also adopted in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Thiruvananthapuram seat, but this time also the public recognized the truth and rejected all these efforts.
According to Rajiv Chandrashekhar, this result clearly shows that the public now wants politics of development, transparency and accountability. He said that despite all the political tactics, the support that BJP has got at the local level is an indication of the changing political environment in Kerala.
At the end of his ex post he called for moving forward in the direction of ‘developed Kerala’. He said that now is the time for Kerala to move forward rapidly on the path of development, good governance and public welfare. Describing this achievement as historic, BJP leaders and workers said that the party’s strong presence in local bodies can change the direction of Kerala politics in the times to come.
