Relief to ‘land owners’ in Bihar: Government gave 10 big good news
Patna. The Bihar government has taken important steps towards making land related matters easy and transparent, giving great relief to the land owners and common citizens of the state. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms Department Vijay Kumar Sinha is continuously emphasizing on speedy disposal of land related complaints. Regarding this, strict warnings are also being given to the officers who are negligent in departmental programs.
The Department of Revenue and Land Reforms shared a post through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. In this, information was given about 10 important online facilities related to land, which citizens can avail directly through the website of the department. For these services, citizens will have to visit biharbhumi.gov.in portal.
10 online facilities related to land
The online services being provided to the common people by the state government are as follows –
1.Online admission-dismissal
The process of change of land ownership has now been done completely online.
2.Online Land Rent Payment
Citizens can collect land tax sitting at home.
3.Digitally signed land records
Land related documents are now being made available with digital signatures.
4. E-Measure
The facility of land measurement can be availed through online application.
5.Scaling Plus
This service is available for error correction in land records.
6.Online Revenue Court (RCMS)
Hearing and disposal of revenue related cases is now possible online.
7. Change in land use type (land conversion)
Online application can be made for change in land use.
8. Door step delivery of revenue maps
Arrangements have now been made to deliver the land map to the home.
9. SMS alert service on Jamabandi
Information about any change related to land will be received on mobile.
10.Land Occupancy Certificate (LPC)
LPC required for government schemes and other works is now available online.

The government says that these online facilities will not only curb corruption but will also bring speed and transparency in land related matters. Officials have been instructed to ensure that no citizen faces unnecessary trouble.
