‘All lies were spread’, while exposing Bangladeshi media, India told the truth; Know the whole truth
India Bangladesh Relations MEA Latest Statement: Is Bangladeshi media deliberately spreading lies and misleading the people there? India’s Foreign Ministry has exposed one such big conspiracy. Many misleading and intimidating reports were published in the media of the neighboring country regarding a small demonstration outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi. India has now put the truth before the world by defusing these news. The Ministry of External Affairs has made it clear that what is being shown on TV is a pack of lies and it is just propaganda.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal came forward on Sunday and clarified the entire situation. He said that what happened outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on December 20 is being exaggerated. Actually only 20-25 youths had gathered there. His anger was over the heinous murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh. They were just raising slogans there and raising legitimate demands for security of minorities living in Bangladesh.

The news of breaking the barricade is completely fabricated. The ministry stressed that at no time was the security of the High Commission under threat. The police, showing promptness, dispersed the protesters within minutes. Its video evidence is also in the public domain which exposes the liars. India reiterated that the security of foreign missions is our priority under the Vienna Convention and we are very serious about it. Whatever is going on in the media like breaking of barricades or attack, they are just fabricated to spread rumours.

When will action be taken against the murderers?
In this entire episode, India has instead asked questions to the Bangladesh government. The Foreign Ministry said that we are not ignoring the incidents happening there. Indian officials are constantly talking to the administration there and are keeping an eye on the situation. India has taken a tough stand on the murder of Dipu Chandra Das and has demanded immediate punishment of the culprits. India has given a clear message that it is the responsibility of Bangladesh to ensure the safety of minorities and any kind of negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. The victim’s family must get justice.
