Nualphan Lamsam, widely known as Madam Pang, president of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), drew public attention for her appearance at the 33rd SEA Games men’s football final between Thailand and Vietnam on Dec. 18 at Rajamangala Stadium.

Seated in the stands to support the Thai U22 team, Madam Pang wore a tailored suit and styled her hair in a half-updo accented with a ribbon bow. She accessorized with Hermès Chaine d’ancre Verso earrings, a piece from the French luxury brand’s iconic jewelry collection.

The earrings feature a rose-gold anchor chain design made in France, accented with black ceramic beads and set with 101 diamonds totaling 1.46 carats. The item is valued at approximately US$20,000.

The Chaine d’ancre motif was inspired by the chains used to anchor ships along the Normandy coast in 1937. Hermès introduced the first silver Chaine d’ancre bracelet in 1938, establishing what would become one of the brand’s most recognizable designs.

The anchor chain symbolizes the balance between functionality and aesthetics, a core principle of Hermès’ design philosophy, and has since been reinterpreted across various products, including rings, necklaces, and earrings.

The term “Verso” refers to a two-sided design concept, reflecting versatility and refinement. The polished, rounded, and twisted links give the jewelry a visual balance between sportiness and luxury.

Her personal style often features bold designs with prominent gemstones and intricate craftsmanship. She is also recognized for her collection of Hermès handbags, including rare models such as the Birkin Faubourg and the Himalaya Birkin.

Beyond her fashion profile, Madam Pang has played a significant role in Thai football over the past decade. She is the 18th president in the history of the Football Association of Thailand and the first woman to hold the position.
