She said he was shouting at her and saying, “Enough, wake up mother, now sing some secular song.”

They are telling the singer which song he should sing. This was an anti-Hindu attitude.” “When she (Lagnajita Chakraborty) went to the police station, Mamata Banerjee’s police refused to file a police complaint,” he alleged. However, there was no immediate reaction from Trinamool Congress.

Singer also alleged that the officer in-charge of Bhagwanpur police station refused to register the case. Later a case was registered and Malik was arrested. Police officer Mithun Dey said, “A departmental inquiry has been initiated against the in-charge of Bhagwanpur police station and another officer. We will take action against them for their negligence.”
