BJP led grand alliance headed for a bumper victory in Maharashtra’s Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections; Another blow to Mahavikas Aghadi of Uddhav, Congress and Sharad Pawar, BJP led Mahayuti headed for landslide victory in the Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Nagar Parishad elections.
Mumbai The people of Maharashtra have once again rejected the opposition Mahavikas Aghadi alliance. In the results of Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections of Maharashtra coming on Sunday, BJP led Mahayuti alliance has given a big blow to Mahavikas Aghadi. In the trends so far out of 288 seats of Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council, BJP is ahead on 127 seats. Whereas, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena candidate was leading on 54 seats. Ajit Pawar’s NCP also played a good role in the victory of Mahayuti. In the latest trends, 37 NCP candidates are ahead. In this way, out of 288 Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council seats, the BJP led Mahayuti seems to be winning 218 seats.

The data of Maharashtra’s Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections has not put an end to the troubles of Mahavikas Aghadi. Till the time of writing the news, only 9 candidates of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT were ahead. Whereas, 7 candidates of Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction were ahead in Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections. 31 Congress candidates were ahead. In this way, only 47 candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi are seen winning in Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections. However, there is always a possibility of some changes in the final election results. According to the trends, currently 23 seats are being lost in the Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections.

The alliance leaders will definitely be excited by the big victory of the BJP-led grand alliance in the Maharashtra Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections. The reason for this is that voting is to be held for 29 municipalities including BMC on January 11. In Maharashtra, the opposition’s Mahavikas Aghadi had performed well in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, but then in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP-led alliance formed the government with a bumper victory. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that vote theft took place in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, but now the Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council election results of Maharashtra have proved that the public has completely rejected Rahul Gandhi’s issue of vote theft.
