Humayun Kabir’s new political debut
New Delhi: Suspended Trinamool Congress leader Humayun Kabir has made an important announcement in the political landscape of West Bengal. He has said that he intends to form a new party and contest elections on all 294 assembly seats in the state and has claimed to see himself in the role of kingmaker. Kabir will formally form his new party in Murshidabad on Monday.
Election strategy against Trinamool Congress
Humayun Kabir has made it clear that his party will field candidates on all seats against Trinamool Congress. However, he has not announced the name of his party yet, but has applied for three election symbols in the Election Commission. Kabir believes that his fight will be against both BJP and TMC in Bengal.
Alliance possibilities
Kabir also mentioned that the possibility of a possible alliance with Congress, CPIM and Owaisi’s party cannot be ruled out. Posters are being put up at various places in Murshidabad regarding Kabir’s new party.
Preparation for huge public meeting
The stage is being prepared for a big program in Mirzapur area, where about four lakh people are expected to gather. Humayun Kabir has claimed to win at least 10 out of 22 assembly seats in Murshidabad. Out of 22 seats in this district, 20 are occupied by TMC and 2 by BJP.
Preparations for the upcoming assembly elections
Assembly elections are going to be held in West Bengal next year, for which all the political parties are busy making their strategies. This new step of Humayun Kabir can definitely change the political equations of the state.
