PM Modi Assam Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Assam ended on Sunday. Before leaving from Guwahati, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma bid him an emotional farewell. But while leaving, PM Modi gave a speech in Dibrugarh, which is now being discussed in the entire country. He launched a scathing attack on the old policies of the Congress and warned the people of Assam about the danger of infiltrators. The Chief Minister’s Office said that the people of Assam are grateful to the PM for his unwavering support for the development of the state and are now eagerly awaiting his next visit.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the PM for his guidance in the development of the state. At the same time, in the public meeting in Dibrugarh, the PM, while mentioning the Namrup fertilizer factory, attacked the previous governments. He said that there was a time when the fields of the entire North-East flourished with the manure from here. But due to old technology and Congress’s neglect, the plants kept getting closed. Farmers remained troubled, but Congress remained in its fun. He said that today our double engine government is solving the problems which were deliberately created by the Congress.
Forest and land deal for vote bank
PM Modi said in a very strict tone that Congress is still fueling anti-national thinking. These people want to settle Bangladeshi infiltrators in the forests and lands of Assam to strengthen their vote bank. He clearly said that Congress does not care about your destruction, they just like infiltrators. It was the Congress that settled the infiltrators and today it is protecting them, that is why they oppose the purification of the voter list. Modi assured the public that BJP is standing like steel to protect the identity and honor of Assam and will save the state from this poison of appeasement.
