Modi government is calling it a historic step to give a strong foundation to rural life. The government says that with the implementation of the VB-J Ram Ji law, the legal guarantee of employment in rural areas will become stronger than before.

Let us tell you that this bill was discussed in the Parliament till last night. In this matter, the opposition said that the government was deliberately changing the name of MNREGA, Mahatma Gandhi’s name also appeared in MNREGA, that is why the BJP government brought this bill to remove this name. At the same time, the government said that in the earlier scheme people were given work for 100 days. But now under this law it is mandatory to provide work for at least 125 days. It was during this debate that Congress leader Pramod Tiwari fiercely attacked the BJP. He had said that whenever Congress comes to power, he will change its name again. Amidst all this uproar, this bill was passed by voice vote. However, the opposition in Parliament strongly opposed this bill. Not only this, after this the opposition also staged a whole night protest outside the Constitution House.

According to this law, it will now be the responsibility of the government to provide wage-based work to eligible rural families for 125 days in a year. Its direct objective is to increase the income of workers, farmers and landless families living in villages and to provide them economic security. The government says that this will reduce poverty in villages and people will get work in their own areas.

The government says that the purpose of the new law is not only to provide employment, but also to provide overall empowerment of the rural society. Under VB-G Ram Ji, priority has been given to inclusive development, so that the benefits of the schemes reach the people at the last rung of the society. The government claims that this law will play an important role in making women, weaker sections and needy families self-reliant. This will provide permanent strength to the rural economy.

There will be better coordination of development plans

Through this law, emphasis has been laid on creating better coordination between different development plans. The government wants that the schemes running in rural areas should be linked to each other and give more effective results. There is a plan to change the picture of villages by linking works related to roads, water conservation, irrigation, housing and other basic facilities with employment. This will increase both transparency and speed of development works.

Saturation based delivery given special importance in VB-G Ram Ji law

Saturation based delivery has been given special importance in the VB-G Ram Ji law. This means that no eligible family should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. The government says that the basic objective of this law is to provide employment and livelihood benefits to the last person. This will reduce inequality in rural areas and the benefits of development will reach everyone.
