Kolkata. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh i.e. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat participated in a program in Kolkata on Sunday on the centenary year of the Sangh. Mohan Bhagwat said many important things in this program. RSS chief Bhagwat pointed out the mistake people have made in understanding the Sangh. Mohan Bhagwat said that if you want to understand RSS, then comparison will lead to misunderstanding. He said that if you consider the Sangh to be only a service related organization, then you are wrong. Mohan Bhagwat said that many people try to understand RSS from the perspective of BJP. He called it a big mistake.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said about the centenary year of the Sangh that as mentioned in the beginning, this program has already been held at two places in the country. The third one is happening here and after that it will be in Mumbai. He said that when we sat down to plan the centenary programme, it came to light that even though everyone knows the name of RSS and the Sangh is recognized across the world, people do not clearly understand what the Sangh is, why it exists and what it does. Mohan Bhagwat said that people coming from Europe, America, Africa, Australia and other places always ask questions. He says that we want to do something similar for the new generation in our country. How can you train us?

RSS was founded in the year 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. Before the establishment of the Sangh, Dr. Hedgewar was associated with the Congress, but to get independence for India, for the upliftment of the society and for other reasons, he separated. RSS was also accused of murdering Mahatma Gandhi, but no evidence could be found in the investigation. The RSS served the country in the India-China war of 1962 and the India-Pakistan war of 1965. After 1962, RSS volunteers also marched in the Republic Day parade of Delhi. The Sangh has also taken part in relief and rescue operations during various natural disasters. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is these days inspiring Hindus to rise above caste differences and unite.
