Mahayuti defeated MVA, BJP registered a big victory; PM Modi also reacted

Maharashtra Municipal Election: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has established itself as the largest party by registering a big victory in the municipal elections of Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has described this victory of BJP in the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections as historic. While expressing his gratitude to the people of Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that people have once again expressed confidence in BJP and Mahayuti.

How many positions were won?

According to Maharashtra State Election Commission, Mahayuti performed brilliantly in the counting of votes till 11 pm on Sunday night. The BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP alliance won a total of 207 posts of Municipal Council President. In comparison, the alliance of Congress, NCP (SP) and Shiv Sena (UBT) had to be content with only 44 posts.

What do the statistics say?

If we look at the figures, BJP alone has won 117 posts of Municipal Council President. Shiv Sena got 53 posts and NCP 37 posts. Whereas Congress was reduced to 28 seats. NCP (SP) won seven posts and Shiv Sena (UBT) won nine posts. Apart from this, independent candidates also achieved success on five seats.

Why Loha Nagar Parishad of Nanded became famous

Loha Municipal Council of Nanded district was the most discussed in this election. Here BJP had fielded six candidates from the same family. BJP played this gamble relying on the influence of local leader Gajanan Suryavanshi, but all six candidates had to face defeat. Here, Ajit Pawar’s NCP candidate Sharad Pawar shocked BJP’s strategy by registering victory.

PM Modi also reacted

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media that Maharashtra stands firmly with development. He thanked the people of the state for blessing BJP and Mahayuti in the Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections. PM Modi said that this shows the public’s confidence in his vision of people-centric development. He also praised the party workers working hard at the grassroots level.
