Free treatment to more than 4 crore people in Bihar! Relief to the elderly also due to this effort of Nitish government
Bihar News: Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is continuously becoming stronger in the direction of providing better health facilities to poor and economically weak families in Bihar. The effect of the government’s active initiative and planned work is that till now 1.68 crore families of the state have joined this scheme. Ayushman cards have been issued to more than 4.13 crore members of these families.
How beneficial is this scheme?
Through Ayushman Card, beneficiaries are getting free treatment facility in empaneled government and private hospitals across the country. This has provided great relief to poor families in the treatment of serious diseases. There is no longer any compulsion to take a loan for treatment, nor is there a situation like selling land or property.
According to the data of Bihar Health Security Committee, till now treatment has been provided to more than 27.60 lakh patients under the scheme. A total amount of more than Rs 3941.22 crore has been spent on these, which is given as completely free treatment. This treatment has been done under cashless and paperless system in hospitals of Bihar as well as other states.
This special facility for senior citizens
Giving priority to senior citizens, the government has started the facility of Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card for the elderly above 70 years of age. Under this, till now cards have been issued to 3.61 lakh eligible elderly people. Due to this, the elderly are getting direct benefit in the treatment of serious diseases.
How many hospitals listed in Bihar
Talking about the hospital network, at present there are 433 government and 725 private hospitals listed under Ayushman Bharat scheme in Bihar. In this way a network of total 1138 hospitals has been prepared. Due to this, patients from village to city are getting better treatment options.
This is the goal of the government
Health Protection Committee Executive Officer Shashank Shekhar Sinha said that in the coming time, more families will be included in the scheme. The government aims to further strengthen universal health coverage in Bihar, so that no one in need is deprived of treatment.
