Piyush performed brilliantly for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the match against Gulf Giants, taking 4 wickets for 27 runs in his quota of four overs. Piyush made captain James Vince, Moeen Ali, Azmatullah Omarzai and Matthew Fort his victims. This is the fifth time that Piyush has achieved the feat of taking 4 wickets in an innings in his T20 career.

Piyush was chosen player of the match for this brilliant performance.

It is noteworthy that in this match, Knight Riders defeated Giants by 4 wickets. After being invited to bat first, Giants scored 165 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. In which Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the top scorer with 72 runs in 45 balls.

Apart from Piyush, in Knight Riders, Jason Holder, Ajay Kumar and Olly Stone took 1 wicket each.

In response, Knight Riders won by losing 6 wickets with 4 balls remaining. Alex Hales contributed 46 runs, Phil Salt contributed 35 runs and Sherfan Rutherford contributed 30 runs.

For Giants, Tabrez Shamsi took 3 wickets, Fred Klaas took 2 wickets and Chris Wood took 1 wicket.
