The Central Highlands city of Da Lat was the most searched domestic destination by Vietnamese travelers during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday with year-on-year search rising 44%, online platform Agoda says.

Vietnam’s biggest island Phu Quoc surpassed Nha Trang to claim the second position with searches growing 41%, based on searches made on Agoda between October and November 2025 for check-ins during Feb. 14–22.

Nha Trang came in the third place, followed by Da Nang and Vung Tau (now part of Ho Chi Minh City).

Overall Tet travel interest for both domestic and international travel has increased compared to the holiday period last year, Agoda said.

Interest in domestic trips increased by 22%, Agoda said.

The Year of Horse begins on Feb. 17 and Vietnamese people enjoy a nine-day break.

Da Lat is cool all year round, and Tet is the time of blooming flowers, especially the cherry blossoms that will paint the town hills in beautiful pink.

The dry season in Phu Quoc runs from November to April, offering sunny weather ideal for outdoor beach activities.
