MCA is going to give a big gift to former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Little Master Sunil Gavaskar, who has troubled bowlers all over the world, is being honored at Wankhede, which he deserves. His statue will be built at Wankhede Stadium. This has been confirmed by MCA. Apart from this, a statue of former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sharad Pawar will also be built.

A cricket museum is being built at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It has been named MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum. This museum will be inaugurated in the second half of this month. Sunil Gavaskar’s statue will be kept in this museum. Apart from Sunil Gavaskar, the statue of former BCCI and MCA president Sharad Pawar will also be kept here. Sunil Gavaskar had said about this honor from MCA that, I am feeling very happy and honored. My parent organization Mumbai Cricket Association has decided that my statue will be placed at the entrance of the new MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum. I have always been grateful to the Mumbai Cricket Association, due to which I took my first steps in cricket and then I got the opportunity to play for the country. I can’t say how happy I am right now.

Sharad Pawar is currently the President of the Nationalist Congress Party. He has also previously been the President of MCA, BCCI and ICC. This museum has been named after him. MCA President Ajinkya Naik said that Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum is our tribute to the legends of Mumbai cricket. This museum is a symbol of his thinking and success. Sunil Gavaskar’s statue will be a symbol of determination, which will inspire young players to dream big and make them come true.

Sunil Gavaskar played 125 test matches for Team India from 1971 to 1987. In this he scored 10122 runs at an average of 51.12. He has 34 centuries and 45 half-centuries to his name. His best score in Test is 236 runs. Talking about ODI, he has scored 3092 runs in 108 matches at an average of 35.13. He has scored one century and 27 half centuries. His best score is 103 runs not out.
