PM Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ to be held on cruise ship on Brahmaputra river
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a special edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on Friday (December 21) on a floating cruise ship on the Brahmaputra river in Assam capital Guwahati. This program will be unique of its kind, because till now ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ has mostly been organized in big auditoriums or traditional forums. This time there will be direct communication with the students on a ship moving in the middle of the river.
This interactive session will be held in the morning and will last for approximately 30 minutes. During the program, Prime Minister Modi will interact with about 25 meritorious students selected from various schools of the state. Its objective is to reduce the stress faced by students before board exams, solve exam preparation questions and provide guidance on the importance of balance and confidence in life.
The cruise ship on which the event will be held has been named ‘Charaideo’, inspired by Assam’s historical heritage Charaideo, the ancient capital of the Ahom kingdom. The Prime Minister and other guests will board the ship from Guwahati Gateway Terminal. This modern river terminal was recently inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The vessel will continuously move down the Brahmaputra River during the session, providing a unique and memorable experience to the students and spectators.
The backdrop of this special edition will be the scenic beauty of the Brahmaputra River and the famous Umananda Temple located on Mayur Island, which will also add a cultural and spiritual dimension to the event. During this, topics like exam strategy, stress management and personal development are likely to be discussed. Students are already preparing for their exam questions and are looking forward to guidance from Prime Minister Modi, who is also the author of the book ‘Exam Warriors’.
Describing the initiative as special, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “This will be a very special event, where the Prime Minister will interact with our talented students.” He also said that this session on board the ship will provide a dynamic experience and is also expected to boost river tourism in the region. According to the Chief Minister, Kaziranga National Park has seen a significant increase in the number of tourists after the last visit of Prime Minister Modi.
‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on Brahmaputra will be part of Prime Minister Modi’s two-day visit to Assam. During this, he inaugurated the new river terminal in Guwahati and also unveiled the statue of the first Chief Minister of Assam, Gopinath Bordoloi, at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. As part of his visit, the Prime Minister will also visit the Swaheed Memorial area, which has been built in memory of the martyrs of the Assam movement demanding the eviction of illegal immigrants. Apart from this, he will also go to Namrup and lay the foundation stone of the new unit of Namrup Fertilizer Plant.
This unique event is being seen as a coordination of education, culture and development, which will not only be inspiring for the students, but can also prove to give a new direction to the identity and tourism of Assam.
