Material

Dry Fruits – Cashews, Almonds, Walnuts, Raisins, Tutti-Frutti

Orange juice 1 cup

Flour 1.5 cups

sugar 1 cup

Oil/Butter 1/2 cup

milk 1/2 cup

Spices- cinnamon powder (1/4 tsp), dry ginger powder (1/4 tsp), clove powder (a pinch)

Baking powder (1 tsp), Baking soda (1/2 tsp)

Method of preparation

step 1

First of all, take orange juice in a pan and add all the chopped dry fruits and tutti-frutti in it. Cook it on medium flame for 5-10 minutes until the juice thickens and the dry fruits absorb it. Then let it cool.

Step 2

Add 1/2 cup sugar in a pan. When the sugar melts and turns brown, add 1/4 cup hot water. Keep stirring until a smooth syrup is formed. Let it cool down also.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine oil, milk and prepared caramel syrup and mix well. Now add flour, cinnamon, dry ginger and clove powder after sifting it. Add soaked dry fruits to it and mix gently. Last add baking powder and baking soda and mix gently.

Step 4

Grease the cake tin with oil and dust with some flour (or line with butter paper). Pour the batter into the tin and add some dry fruits on top. Pre-heat the pan for 10 minutes, spread a layer of salt and place the stand. Cook the cake on low flame for 45-50 minutes. Bake in an oven pre-heated to 180°C for 35-40 minutes.
