easy method to make

Making Chocolate Mawa Barfi is very simple. Let us understand step by step:

fry mawa: First of all, take a thick bottomed pan or non-stick pan. Add 500 grams of mawa in it and start frying on low flame. Keep stirring continuously with a spoon so that the mawa does not stick to the bottom. Fry it until a nice aroma starts coming from the mawa and its rawness goes away completely. This process will take approximately 10-15 minutes.

Mix sugar and cardamom: When the mawa is roasted well, add 300 grams of powdered sugar and half a teaspoon of cardamom powder to it. Mix well and cook for some more time until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture becomes thick. Now turn off the flame.

melt chocolate: Use double boiler method to melt chocolate. Heat water in a large vessel. Place another vessel on top of it and add grated chocolate into it. Melt slowly on low flame. It is very important that not even a drop of water gets into the chocolate, otherwise it may get spoiled.

divide the mixture: Divide the roasted mawa mixture into two equal parts. Keep one part as simple as it is. In the second part, mix the melted chocolate well. If you want, you can also add some crushed dry fruits (like cashews or pistachios) to the chocolate part, this will make the taste even better.

do layering: Take a square tray or plate, apply some ghee in it and grease it all around so that the barfi comes out easily. Put plain mawa mixture at the bottom and spread it evenly with the help of a spoon. Immediately pour the chocolate mixture on top and make a second layer. Press both the layers well so that they stick together.

Decoration and setting: Now apply silver work on top. After this sprinkle finely chopped or crushed almonds. Keep the tray in the fridge or in a cool place for 1-2 hours so that the barfi sets properly.

cut and serve: When the barfi is completely set, cut it with a knife into desired shapes like square, diamond shape or as you like. Your Christmas special Chocolate Mawa Barfi is ready!
