in bihar "land dispute" Will end, government comes into action!

Patna. The state government has now adopted a proactive approach to end the long standing problem regarding land related matters in Bihar. With the aim of bringing transparency in the revenue and land reform system, the government has prepared such a mechanism in which common citizens and administration will sit face to face and find solutions to the problems. In this series, a land reform public dialogue program is being organized in Muzaffarpur, which will be led by the Deputy Chief Minister cum Revenue Minister.

Public and administration on one platform

The biggest feature of this program is that the ryots affected by the land and the concerned revenue officers will be present at one place. This will make it possible to immediately discuss those complaints, which usually remain entangled in files and pending for years. This dialogue, organized on the university campus, has been organized in two phases, so that equal attention can be given to both grievance redressal and administrative review.

Which issues will be focused on

During the public dialogue, almost every major problem related to land has been put on the agenda. Pending applications related to filing-rejecting and record correction, status of online measurement services, progress of land allotment to landless families, technical problems being faced on the digital portal. The government believes that the weak links of the system can be improved quickly through direct feedback.

Monitoring from registration to action

To participate in the program, registration within the stipulated time is mandatory. This will ensure that every complaint is registered and information about the action taken on it reaches the applicant. The arrangement for registering the mobile number has been made so that in future updates can be given through SMS.

Time limit fixed for jamabandi reform

The government has also made the process of land record correction time bound. Now you will not have to wait indefinitely to correct mistakes related to name, account, khesra or area. According to the type of error, the maximum limit has been fixed from 15 days to 75 working days. If work is not done on time, action will be taken against the responsible officials.

Digital records will increase transparency

After crores of Jamabandhis were made online in the state, many old mistakes have come to light. To correct these, the Parimarjan portal has been made simpler, so that common people can get their records corrected without middlemen. The government claims that this will hit the root of the land dispute.
