In the first session of the third day of the Adelaide Test, England’s first innings was reduced to 286 runs. With this, Australia also got a significant lead of 85 runs on the basis of first innings. However, this lead could have been even bigger but the pair of Ben Stokes and Joffra Archer kept their team in the match by making a century partnership for the 9th wicket but Mitchell Starc once again became Ben Stokes’s favorite and put Australia ahead in the match again.
Starc once again showed his dominance over England captain Ben Stokes and clean bowled him. Starc bowled a fast full ball which swung late and completely eluded Stokes. Stokes missed the ball and the ball hit the stumps. After being clean bowled, the England captain was surprised and his reaction was worth seeing.
On one hand, Starc’s celebration was worth seeing, while on the other hand, disappointment was clearly visible on Stokes’ face. The England captain stood at the crease for some time and was trying to understand what happened to him.
