BJP’s Minority Front leader Nazia Ilahi Khan has alleged harassment by Indigo Airlines staff at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Controversy has arisen on political and social media regarding this matter. Khan shared a video of the incident on social media platform X early on Monday (December 22), in which she claimed that she was repeatedly harassed from the check-in counter till boarding the plane.
In the video, Nazia Ilahi Khan can be seen arguing with IndiGo staff on the airport tarmac. At the end of the clip, she is heard pointing towards the staff and commenting, “The whole country is upset with you Abdul and Abdullah”, which has drawn sharp reactions on social media. This video has gone viral rapidly.

In a detailed post shared along with the video, Nazia Khan said that she was traveling in an emergency and yet she was deliberately harassed. According to her, from the check-in counter of IndiGo to the boarding area of the aircraft, she repeatedly faced what she described as harassment.
Nazia Ilahi Khan also made public the names of three Indigo employees in her post. She alleged that Rehan, who was posted at counter ‘K’, Moinuddin, posted at the stretch counter, and Abdullah Khan, the alleged driver of the runway coach, harassed her at different stages of the journey. Khan claims that the behavior of these three was to deliberately cause him discomfort.
He also alleged that because of his patriotism he was targeted and attempts were made to intimidate or harm him in different ways. In his post, Khan also raised questions on the appointment process of the airline and said that such incidents can also become a threat to national security. Criticizing liberal thinking, he demanded accountability and said the matter should not end with a mere apology.
At present, no official statement has been issued by Indigo Airlines on these allegations or the viral video. At the same time, the airport administration has also not clarified whether any formal complaint was lodged by the BJP leader at the time of the incident or not. Meanwhile, this matter has become a subject of heated debate on social media, where on one hand some people are supporting Khan’s allegations, while on the other hand many people are raising questions about the statements and allegations made in the video.
