In the year 2025, many big projects gained momentum and the pace of work on them increased. Due to these exercises, the wind of change is clearly being felt in Bundelkhand. The government took steps towards many important works including Defense Corridor, Garautha Solar Park, Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme New Jhansi Phase 1, Jalaun-Jhansi Link Expressway, four-laning of the road from Risala Chungi in Jhansi to Orchha.

Defense corridor gained momentum

A 132/33 KV power substation has been completed on Gursarai-Erich Road near Gram Panchayat Jhabra for the Defense Corridor being developed in Garautha area of ​​Jhansi. With this, on one hand, electricity can be supplied to the Defense Corridor and on the other hand, electricity can also be supplied to the drinking water project of Jujharpura and many nearby sub-centres. This newly constructed 132/33 KV power substation will also speed up the work on the Defense Corridor.

The work of setting up the unit of BDL in Jhansi node of Defense Corridor has started. This year WB Electronics has also started the work of setting up the unit in the Defense Corridor. Land has been allotted to 14 units here. Defense Corridor is being developed on 1034 hectare land of 6 villages Erch, Genda Kabula, Kathri, Labhera, Isil and Jhabra.

Solar park work gained momentum in Garautha

Yogi government’s efforts to develop Bundelkhand region as a hub of solar power gained momentum in 2025. Solar power developer has been selected for the 600 MW solar power park being built in Garautha tehsil area of ​​Jhansi district. Almost 99 percent of the land lease agreement for the park has been completed. The park is to be constructed in an area of ​​approximately 2700 acres and more than 2650 acres of land has been acquired. Land has been taken from more than 2000 farmers. Some part of the land is government.

This solar park project is spread in 8 villages of the area, Sujanpura, Jalalpura, Jaswantpura, Nadaura, Bararu, Pura, Khadaura and Moti Katra. Tusco Limited has been given the work of setting up Garutha Solar Park. According to the officials of the company involved in the construction of the park, the work related to civil infrastructure is being completed. Along with the solar park, the work of setting up 220/400 KV grid sub-station is going on at a fast pace. Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited has been given the work of setting up the grid sub station here. Here, the work of setting up two pulling sub stations under the Internal Power Evacuation System is being done by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.

The land acquisition work for Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority in Raksa area of ​​Jhansi is going on at a fast pace. With the aim of increasing the connectivity of Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority with Bundelkhand Expressway, the Yogi government has approved the 115 km long Link Expressway from Jalaun to Jhansi. Jhansi Development Authority started the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme New Jhansi Phase 1 and completed the process of allotment of plots.

The Public Works Department’s proposal to convert the road between Jhansi to Orchha from two lane to four lane was approved. In the month of October this year, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the state-of-the-art convention center near the Polytechnic College of Jhansi. Many other schemes and projects also gained momentum in the year 2025 and were seen taking shape on the ground.
