This 20-year-old player made his international debut in the first match played against Sri Lanka here on Sunday and gave 16 runs in four overs but did not get any wicket. Vaishnavi told reporters after the match that I am not disappointed in any way by not getting a wicket. I am happy that I was successful in implementing my strategy well. There are still four matches left to be played. She said that she was a little nervous before playing her first match but listening to the national anthem helped her gain confidence. Vaishnavi said, “Initially I was a little nervous but became comfortable after the national anthem.”
