Virtual appearance of seven accused in Zubin Garg death case took place. A 2,500-page charge sheet was filed in the singer’s death case. Zubin Garg’s sister was present during this hearing. Where he said that there was no remorse on the faces of the accused. Now the hearing of this high profile case will be held on January 3.

All seven accused appeared in court

During the hearing, all the seven accused arrested in this case were presented in the court virtually. These include Northeast India Festival organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta, Zubin Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma, his cousin and APS officer Sandipan Garg, drummer Shekharjyoti Goswami, co-singer Amrit Prabha Mahanta and the singer’s two PSOs Paresh Baishya and Nandeshwar Bora.

Where are the accused locked?

At present, both the PSOs of Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharth Sharma, Sandipan Garg and Zubeen Garg are lodged in Baksa District Jail. Meanwhile, drummer Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amrit Prabha Mahanta have been kept in Haflong jail.

2500 page charge sheet and sections of murder

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Assam Police has submitted a charge sheet of about 2,500 pages in this case in the CJM Court of Kamrup. After completion of the investigation, a case of murder has been registered against Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharth Sharma, Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amrit Prabha Mahanta under section 103 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).

Zubin Garg’s sister was present during the hearing

Zubin Garg’s sister Dr. Palmi Borthakur was also present in the court during the hearing. He said that he still has hope that his brother will get justice. He expressed confidence in the government, SIT of Assam Police and the justice system. He also said that the family has not yet received the certified copy of the charge sheet. Dr. Palmi also said that after seeing the faces of the accused during the virtual hearing, he did not see any remorse, which further increased the pain of the family.
