‘Dhurandhar’ continues to earn well at the box office, beats Ranbir’s ‘Animal’

Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ is continuously wreaking havoc at the box office. While there was a slight decline in its earnings in the second week, the film picked up pace again as the weekend approached. Usually, the earnings of films slow down in the third week, but ‘Dhurandhar’ has proved its strength by breaking this trend completely. The latest box office figures of the film are testifying to its historic success.

Record breaking earnings of 17th day
According to the report of SACNILC, ‘Dhurandhar’ collected an impressive Rs 38.50 crore on its third Sunday i.e. 21st December. With this, the film has earned Rs 555.75 crore at the Indian box office in just 17 days. With this figure, ‘Dhurandhar’ has left behind Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ (553 crores).

Record of fastest earning in the third week
‘Dhurandhar’ has also made the record of fastest and highest earning in the third week. In the third week the film has done a business of around Rs 95 crore. In this matter, it has gone ahead of blockbuster films like ‘Pushpa 2’ (Hindi 60 crores), ‘Stree 2’ (48.75 crores), ‘Gadar 2’ (36.95 crores) and ‘Jawaan’ (34.81 crores).

Looking at the current pace of the film, it is expected that in the next 2-3 days ‘Dhurandhar’ will join the 600 crore club and will also break the record of Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ (604 crores). Directed by Aditya Dhar, this film is emerging as one of the biggest blockbusters of Ranveer Singh’s career.
