Architecture
In a post, Samsung said that the Exynos 2600 has an upgraded NPU that gives 113 percent more performance than its previous version. Built on TSMC’s 2nm process, the Exynos 2600 has a 10-core CPU that uses the new C1-Ultra and C1-Pro cores. Also, Samsung has used a mix of medium and high performance cores instead of low-power cores.
Compared to last year’s Exynos 2500, the new chip offers up to 39 percent more performance. It also includes the new Xclipse 960 GPU, which increases ray-tracing performance by up to 50 percent and features AI-based resolution scaling and frame generation. Yes, there are three high-performance C1-Pro cores clocked at 3.25GHz, and six power-efficiency tuned C1-Pro cores clocked at 2.75GHz. With the new structure, CPU performance is expected to improve by up to 39 percent.
Samsung says its latest flagship chipset supports cameras up to 320MP and reduces shutter lag to zero in 108MP sensors. It records 8K video at 30 fps and 4K video at 120 fps with HDR. The company also claims that the Exynos 2600 chipset addresses the biggest problem that the lineup has faced for years – excessive heat.
