Haryana: Good news for MLAs in Haryana, now they will get Rs 10,000 extra every month.
Haryana News: Today was the third day of the winter session of Haryana Assembly. After lunch, the Haryana Assembly (Salary, Allowances and Pension) Amendment Bill, 2025 was introduced in the House, which was passed unanimously. With the implementation of this bill, about 550 former MLAs of the state will get direct financial benefits.
Former MLAs will get additional financial assistance
Under the amendment bill, the maximum limit of Rs 1 lakh on monthly pension, dearness relief and special traveling allowance of former MLAs has been abolished. Apart from this, they will now get an amount of up to Rs 10,000 per month as traveling allowance. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini placed this proposal in the House, on which all parties agreed.
Uproar over privilege motion during zero hour
During Zero Hour, Assembly Speaker Harvindra Kalyan informed that the privilege motion brought by BJP MLA Shakti Rani Sharma against Congress MLA Induraj Narwal has been accepted. Congress MLAs created a ruckus in the House over this decision. The Speaker clarified that the proposal has been accepted as per the rules.
