HCC Share Price: Heavy buying was seen in the shares of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) today, due to which the shares rose by more than 11 percent. This rise was seen on the last day of bidding for the company’s Rs 1,000 crore rights issue, which got full subscription. There was a strong rise in HCC shares on the last day of bidding for the rights issue.
After the rise, some investors also booked profits, due to which the price softened slightly, but the stock still remains strong. Currently, HCC shares are trading at Rs 20.32 on BSE, which shows a gain of 9.66 percent. The share had reached a high of Rs 20.71 in intra-day trade, which is a rise of about 11.76 percent.

HCC Rights Issue: Was the floor price fixed?
The record date for HCC’s Rs 1,000 crore rights issue was set for December 5. The company’s board has approved the issuance of 79.99 crore rights equity shares. The price per share for this rights issue has been kept at Rs 12.50.
Rights issue is a way for companies to raise funds, in which new shares are offered to existing shareholders at a price below the market price. This enables the company to raise capital without increasing debt.
Under the company’s plan, investors holding 630 fully paid-up equity shares till the record date will get 277 rights equity shares. After completion of the rights issue, the total number of outstanding shares of HCC will increase from 181 crore to 261 crore.

How is HCC’s financial position?
The second quarter of financial year 2026 was not very good for HCC. In the September 2025 quarter, the company’s net profit declined by 25.2 percent on an annual basis to Rs 47.78 crore. At the same time, operational revenue also fell by 31.7 percent to Rs 960.7 crore.
At the operating level, the company’s profit declined by 39 percent to Rs 147.87 crore, while the operating margin declined from 17.21 percent to 15.39 percent.
Talking about shareholding pattern, till September 2025 quarter, promoters held 16.71 percent stake in the company. Of the remaining 83.29 per cent public shareholding, 0.66 per cent is held by 6 mutual funds, 4.52 per cent by 10 banks, 9.59 per cent by foreign investors and 46.44 per cent by more than 8.44 crore retail investors who have invested up to Rs 2 lakh.

HCC stock past performance
If we look at the performance of the share, on December 20, 2024, the share of HCC was at the level of Rs 37.84, which was its highest level in one year. After this, in about a year, the share fell by about 55.26 percent to Rs 16.93 on December 16, 2025, which is its lowest level in one year.
