Recently Toyota Motors has globally introduced the new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 4X4, which is the most compact version of the Land Cruiser series. This car is also known as Mini Fortuner. The design of the car will be inspired by the classic FJ40, with a boxy silhouette and upright stance. The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol engine (2TR-FE), which produces 163 bhp and 246 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a part-time 4WD system. Its wheelbase is 2,580 mm, which is shorter than the Land Cruiser 250 series. This gives the SUV a turning radius of just 5.5 meters, making it easy to maneuver.
Toyota says the new FJ has improved ground clearance and wheel articulation, which retains the off-road capability of the original Land Cruiser. For international markets, Toyota may also include a hybrid powertrain option, which will offer better fuel efficiency and an eco-friendly driving experience.
