Former IPS Officer Suicide Marathi News: Ex-IPS officer from Punjab (IPS Officer) by Amar Singh Chahal of suicide It is known to have tried. He was found seriously injured at his home in Patiala. He shot himself and is currently in critical condition. Police have found a suicide note from the spot, which details the huge financial loss and suffering due to online fraud.

It may be noted that Amar Singh Chahal has retired from the post of Inspector General. Even the police department is finding this act of a person in such a senior position inconvenient. Patiala SSP Varun Sharma gave this information.

The condition is alarming

Patiala SSP Varun Sharma said that on receiving information about the firing, a police team reached the spot and Chahal was rushed to the hospital. His condition is critical and doctors are trying their best to save him.

A thorough investigation of the case by the police

Amar Singh Chahal was an accused in the 2015 Faridkot firing case. In 2023, the Punjab Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) filed a charge sheet against several police officers including Chahal, along with former Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal in the case. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly. Chahal’s condition is still critical.

A senior police officer of Haryana committed suicide recently. There have been similar incidents in the past where senior police officers have committed suicide. Haryana Senior Police Officer Y. Puran Kumar also committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence in Chandigarh. He wrote an eight-page suicide note holding 10 officials including DGP, ADGP and Superintendent of Police responsible for his suicide. The case made headlines and a high-level inquiry was launched.
