He says that there is no need to be a politician to do good to the people, because the identity gained as an actor can be used even without power. The actor, popularly known as Shivanna among his fans, was speaking at the pre-release of ’45’ in Chennai on Sunday.

The film ’45’ also stars Kannada film industry veteran Upendra, Raj B Shetty and Tamil actor Vijay Antony. The journalist asked the actor why Kannada stars don’t enter politics like Tamil stars? On this Shiv Rajkumar said, ‘I do not understand politics. I want to help everyone without any special power or position.

Raj B Shetty praised the tremendous dedication of the director. He claimed that he worked on this film for three years without sleeping. He said, ‘I am also a director, I have done some films in Kannada. However, when I saw his work, I was a little jealous that I did not have that much dedication.

Actor and director Upendra Rao said on this occasion, ‘Just to pitch to a producer, he made an entire animated film with background score and dubbing. It took about a year. This is the first time anyone has done it this way.
