ED has found strong clues in the raids on the premises of Shubham Jaiswal and his Chartered Accountant Vishnu Agarwal. The documents recovered from Shubham’s ancestral house also revealed details of money given to more than half a dozen politicians, a well-known mafia and two drug inspectors. During the raid, bills of Fesadyl syrup purchased from Abbott Company of Delhi and details of transactions of fake firms have also been found, which may increase the problems of Abbott Company.
Officials suspect that Drug Inspectors (DI) had provided Shubham with details of firms that were closed for fake billing. Besides, the names and addresses of the firms whose licenses had been canceled were also given. For this reason, now ED officials are investigating the incidents in Varanasi during the last three years and are preparing to interrogate them soon. Investigation has revealed that Shubham made fake billing in the name of 177 firms in 13 districts, while sending the entire consignment of syrup to Tripura so that it could be smuggled to Bangladesh.
Police preparing to register FIR against three companies soon
The police is preparing to register an FIR soon against three companies that manufactured Narcotic Cough Syrup and supplied it to the tainted firms by making them super stockists. This also includes Abbott Pharmaceuticals based in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, which had supplied the maximum amount of syrup. The company was earlier supplying syrup to Vibhor Rana and Vishal Singh.
