NZ reached second position after defeating WI, Team India below Pakistan in points table
On the basis of two wins and one draw, New Zealand has now reached second place in the table, where it has left behind India and South Africa. This 2-0 series win was possible mainly due to the excellent batting of New Zealand openers Devon Conway and captain Tom Latham. Conway created history by scoring a double century and a century in the same Test and became the first New Zealand batsman to do so. Latham also scored two brilliant centuries. In this way, the pair of Conway and Latham became the first opening pair to achieve this feat in first-class cricket.
Australia, on the other hand, continued their dominance in the Ashes series. In the third Test played in Adelaide, Australia defeated England by 82 runs and won the series with two matches left. England had already lost in Perth and Brisbane and now trailed 0-3. With this, his hopes of winning back the Ashes are completely over. Now England also seems to be in danger of losing the series 5-0.
