If you are dreaming of making Christmas and New Year holidays memorable, then be careful. The situation becomes such that instead of enjoying the celebrations, the holidays seem like a burden. So, let us know which places you should avoid visiting this New Year?

Avoid visiting these places on Christmas and New Year:

  • Shimla and Manali: Most people head towards Shimla and Manali to celebrate the New Year, but one should avoid visiting both these hill stations at this time. Actually, during this time there is a huge crowd of snow watchers due to which long traffic jams can occur. Sometimes it can even go above 10–12 hours. Also, hotel bookings here are already full. Even if you find a hotel, its price will be very high.
  • Nainital and Mussoorie: If you are planning to go to Nainital and Mussoorie to celebrate New Year, then cancel it. Actually these hill stations are very small. Because of this, there is a lot of crowd here which can go out of control. Due to New Year, tourists remain stuck in traffic jams for hours. Because of this, the fun of a family trip can be spoiled.
  • Jaipur and Udaipur: If you are planning to go to Jaipur and Udaipur in Rajasthan to celebrate Christmas and New Year, then avoid going here for now. Actually, hotels and resorts here are very expensive at this time. Also, there are long lines at popular spots which can spoil your mood.
  • Big Mall and Party Hub: If you live in metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai, then avoid going to big malls and party hubs. You may have to wait for a long time to enter here and there is also the risk of security and pickpocketing which can spoil the New Year.
