Uttar-Pradesh: On Monday, SP MLAs demonstrated strongly in the Lucknow Assembly regarding the Codeine cough syrup issue. The demonstration was carried out with posters and banners, with SP MLAs demanding strict action against the culprits.
Let us tell you that the demonstration was led by SP’s leader of opposition Mata Prasad Pandey. He said that the government should take serious note of the misuse of dangerous substances like codeine cough syrup and take strict action against the culprits. The MLAs were demanding answers from the government on this issue and said that their protest would continue until action was taken against the culprits.
Let us tell you, SP MLAs gathered outside the Assembly and raised slogans against the government. They demonstrated both inside and outside the Assembly regarding their demand, which also disrupted the proceedings of the House.
At the same time, SP leaders alleged that misuse of codeine cough syrup is increasing in the state, due to which the young generation is being adversely affected. The party has demanded immediate action from the government in this matter and said that if it is not stopped in time, it may lead to an even bigger crisis. Abuse of codeine cough syrup should be curbed.
Let us tell you that many cases related to misuse of codeine cough syrup have already come to light, in which the health of the youth has been seriously affected. SP has urged the government to take strict steps in this matter as soon as possible.
