“He fought a lot, will improve,” Amorim backs Benjamin Šeško following Villa’s defeat

Manchester United head coach Rúben Amorim has publicly backed Benjamin Šeško, expressing strong confidence in the striker’s ability to make a major impact at Old Trafford following his swift return to action.

Speaking after United’s latest fixture, Amorim praised Šeško’s physical response and mentality, highlighting how quickly the forward has adapted under careful management. “Benjamin Šeško is going to improve a lot. He’s returned very fast,” Amorim said, underlining the club’s satisfaction with the striker’s recovery and growing match fitness.

The Portuguese coach, who has been in charge of Manchester United since November last year, also revealed that the coaching staff are taking a measured approach with Šeško’s minutes. “The idea was 70, maybe 75 minutes. We are trying to control everything,” Amorim explained, stressing the importance of long-term planning rather than rushing the player back into full match intensity.

Despite the controlled minutes, Amorim was encouraged by what he saw on the pitch. Šeško showcased his physical presence, work rate, and willingness to battle with defenders, attributes that fit seamlessly into Amorim’s high-intensity system. “He did well, he fought a lot and he is going to do well,” the United boss added.
