Now you will get warning before flood, information about flood will be available through AI Gujarati
Although the concerned departments already alert people about floods, but after the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI), this work has become much easier and accurate. Now Google has started its AI based flood forecasting facility in 100 countries. This feature of Google will now cover 100 countries and will provide information about river flood forecast to about 70 crore people. Along with this, the company is also making its datasets available to researchers and partners so that they can understand it better and take advantage of its predictions. Google has also created a new application programming interface (API) so that the data can be easily accessed.
Through this API, users will be able to access the company’s hydrological forecasts and potential flood conditions in urban areas and areas where local data is limited. Google’s partners and researchers can now join the waiting list to gain access to this AI-based model, as the API has not yet been released. A new data layer has now been added to Flood Hub, Google’s flood prediction system, which includes 250,000 prediction points using “virtual gauges”. Virtual Gauge is Google’s simulation-based forecasting system that uses various geological and atmospheric factors to estimate the probability of river flooding.
